Risen

Jesus Christ hung and died

On an old, rugged cross

So that we, His followers

Wouldn’t have to be forever lost

But He ain’t in the grave no more

He is RISEN!! He defeated Satan

In Hell, defeating death, hell, and the grave

And every day we wake up it’s because he’s making

Death angel stand still and behave

Just like Christ is risen it’s time

For us to rise and let our light shine

Rise above sadness and above pain

Rise in spite of life’s torrential rains

Rise above failure

Rise above life’s mess

Make a message

And rise to God’s brand of success.
