Desiree offers coaching, mentorship, and ministerial services that are billed through Paypal. Unlike counseling, client location can be anywhere nationally and internationally. For counseling, Desiree offers self-pay and Insurance in GA and AL only for Christian Counseling services.

FAQs:

1. What is the difference between therapy and christian counseling? Christian counseling uses biblical principles along with a foundation of the science of psychology. Secular therapy may or may not incorporate spirituality into the practice. Having a therapist with a similar worldview of your own is really valuable and being understood and validated. 

2. What are the pros and cons of using insurance to pay for sessions? Pros are, less out of pocket expense for you. This might mean you can meet with your therapist more often. Cons are, due to complications with health insurance, some therapist no longer accept insurance. Another con is you MUST have a documented mental illness to receive insurance payments for your sessions. In other words, if a therapist does not give you a diagnosis, they will not receive payment. If you do not want to be labeled with a diagnosis, use self-pay.
