Where was the Love?

Mama provided for us

This much is true

But Lord where was the love?

This I ask You?

What was up all the pain

All the guilt all the blame

And ultimately all the shame?

And why the low self-esteem?

Where was the love?

Where were the hugs and kisses?

The being made to feel adored.

The only place we could find all this

Is straight from the throne of the Lord.

When we first felt God’s love

We didn’t know how it should be received

But now we know that

We must surrender and in Him we must believe.
